But it's a pretty good draft. The part we go to, Galicia, though, has very good cheese, and we've discovered Manchebo cheese, which is our favorite. Good luck with your own WIP. I love rewrites, but they do get rather intense toward the end. I'm in what I would call the "home stretch" now. And then I'm looking for readers for one more "beta-read-through", preferably those who haven't seen it before and would have fresh eyes. I'm sure you know how that goes: after awhile, the story is almost as familiar to your group as it is to you. When everything is solved by technology, the mystery goes out of the story, and it's not as interesting. As for interviews, you are so right: They are fun to do, but some of the questions are the same, and it's a challenge to find new ways to answer them. I enjoyed reading your interviews. I particularly liked where you said the fifth graders liked the historical mysteries better because the sleuths didn't use technology. That surprised me, but I was glad to read that not all youth obsess over technology. I do like to travel. My favorite country outside my own is Scotland. And yes, I've done a few interviews. The challenge is in making them all a little different when your asked the same questions. Lovely photos, by the way. What's nice for us is that we have several friends here in Northern Spain who travel around on road trips of their own and then tell us about them. Yes, we did sample every cheese one night at a little cafe/restaurant that presented a cheeseboard with 16 different local cheeses. The first time through (for me) there's not road-map, and even in later revisions, I'm still feeling my way. But now, it's really a matter of tweaks, nips, tucks, small details, etc.Elizabeth Varadan, Authorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01708206753256682635noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-618662835458105757.post-16977365835108758432016-04-29T05:28:35.830-07:002016-04-29T05:28:35.830-07:00Thanks, Dixie.
