Sherlock Holmes Mystery I'm Engrossed In

Right now I am reading two books — both mysteries, but different kinds of mysteries. One is contemporary, and one involves Sherlock Holmes. Not only that, but Sherlock Holmes falling in love!

The Sherlock Holmes mystery will get reviewed here soon. Stay tuned . . ..

Meanwhile, I am scrabbling through poets and overdue posts re: our Spain trips in 2019 to be posted on my Fourth Wish blog. Again, stay tuned . . ..

Everyone have a great Thanksgiving if I don't get back before then!

I have never read a Sherlock Holmes book. I was thinking about that the other day. I know about the stories- but only secondhand. Hope you are enjoying your read!

Have a Happy Thanksgiving!

Jess, I hadn't read Sherlock Holmes until I was in my early 30s, and then I got hooked. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle is a good writer, and he created the kind of character we would all like to create — one who has endured over 100 years! Check out one of the collections.

I've been research Holmes techniques for a book. :D

Oh, that sounds fun. Keep me posted. There are so many good sites around. I would read some of the books published by MX Publishing, because all those fellow authors are totally immersed in Sherlock Holmes.

I highly recommend Laurie R. King's Holmes and Russell series, beginning with THE BEEKEEPER"S APPRENTICE. Intelligent fun!

Hi, Vicki, yes, that's a great one, too. I really enjoyed that book. King's a terrific writer.

Yes, I'm late to the party, but wanted to mention a film that appeared on Netflix today, "Enola Holmes". Haven't watched it yet. May be good or awful. However, it is an honorable pastiche by all accounts. I'll know more later this evening. Any production attempted so long after the fog-bound mysteries of Holmes's London of 1895 have got my attention. Best wishes, Geo.

Oh, my goodness, Geo., it looks I'm even later to the party! I haven't checked in for a long time because we moved, and that was really time consuming.

I hope you enjoyed the Enola Holmes film. I haven't watched it, but I read the series, and they were a hoot, really humorous while telling a good mystery each time, too. I believe there were about 6 mysteries in all. Hope you are doing well in these challenging times. Take care.
